URGENT!
There is a meeting of the environment
select committee on Tuesday at Trowbridge council offices at 10.30am and
members of public are allowed to speak- you just have to register: We
are too late to ask a question, but we can get in there and make a
statement! Andy Hewitt is going to attend armed with a letter to the
councillors and try to get a statement in. If anyone wishes to go and
support or maybe get their own statement in that would be fantastic!

In the light of PEDL 227 (http://www.worldcoal.com/news/cbm/articles/CBM_license_in_Somerset_extended_CBM65.aspx#.VAcAM2OV5fw) and a general awareness now of the dangers of Fracking, Frome Anti-Fracking is rejuvinating itself.
If you would like to get involved, let us know. Lots of events being planned for an 'Autumn of Awareness'.

Hi, anyone who may be out there!
We continue on in a milieu of hype, hostility, misinformation and public bewilderment.
In order to further the cause of a rational and environmentally responsible energy policy for the UK, Frack Free Somerset has commissioned a film, entitled "Fracking in the UK - the truth behind the dash for gas".
This hour long documentary directed by Marco Jackson brings the story of fracking bang up to date and to these shores. Until recently, most of the story of fracking was from either the US or Australia - with people in the UK waiting to find out how this technology was about to transform our lives and landscapes.
However, things are now developing over here. Balcombe, Lancashire, Airth, South Wales - the planning applications and test drillings are now gathering momentum and it is vital that people become informed and active.
To this end we present the film at the Cornerhouse, Frome on 10th November at 7:30pm. The screening will be free, donations to the campaign will be collected on the night.
If you can't get out then you can watch the film on You Tube here - otherwise we look forward to seeing you there!
